The following instructions will guide you through the CSR generation process on Juniper NetScreen. To learn more about CSRs and the importance of your private key, reference our Overview of Certificate Signing Request article<\/a>.<\/p>\n

1. Open the Application<\/h3>\n

Open Jupiter NetScreen\u2019s WebUI application.<\/p>\n

2. Access Configuration>Date\/Time<\/h3>\n

Go to Options > Configuration<\/strong> and select Date\/Time.<\/p>\n

3. Sync Clock<\/h3>\n

Click on the Sync Clock with Client<\/strong><\/p>\n

4. Enter the Host Name and FQDN<\/h3>\n

Enter the internal device host name<\/strong> in the Host Name field. Enter your fully qualified domain name (FQDN) <\/strong>in the domain field and click Apply.<\/p>\n

5. Navigate to Options>Certificates<\/h3>\n

Now go to the Options<\/strong> menu, go to Objects <\/strong>and click on Certificates<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

6. Select\u00a0New and Fill Out the Information<\/strong><\/h3>\n

From here on, the actual CSR generation process starts. Fill out correct information in the respective fields and enter your fully qualified domain name in the FQDN (fully qualified domain name).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once you\u2019re done filling all the information, verify that all details are correct and select generate.<\/p>\n

7.\u00a0Save your CSR\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Now your CSR should get generated. Save the CSR as a text file<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
